I was born in the spring of 1950 at Camp LeJeune, a Marine Base in North Carolina, and the son of a career navy medical corpsman. When I was ten years old my father, Woodrow, and mother, Sarah, retired and moved from Charleston SC to my family's home at Windham's Crossroads in Lamar. I was raised in the country doing farm stuff. I loved it. In high school, I was captain of the football team, president of the student body, played every major sport and participated in just about every other extra curricular activity. Am I bragging? I guess so. It was fun growing up in a small town. After graduating from high school in 1968, it was off to the University of South Carolina in Columbia. I lived with my brother Woody while I attended the university because frankly, I couldn't afford room and board. I needed a job to help pay the tuition, so Woody (he was the local radio top 40 star) offered to teach me how to be an announcer. He taught me everything I know about the business. That was 1968 and a 38 year broadcasting career followed. For 26 years Woody and I did "The Windham Brothers Morning Show". It was the only brothers act on the radio in America and highly successful in the ratings. We worked together for years. (Lots of laughs). My whole life has been devoted to broadcasting, advertising, and marketing. I've owned numerous businesses including The Leo Windham Agency, which handled major accounts in Columbia SC.

My wife, Jane is a retired teacher and currently enjoying relaxing. I'm so lucky to be married to Jane. Every day I'm thankful for a great relationship. It's important to have a partner in life and I have the best. You've heard of a "soul mate"? We have each other.

I have two sons, of which I am very proud. David lives in Edgefield, SC with his significant other, Ginny. To see his work, visit his web site. davidawindham.com

Kris lives in Chapel Hill, NC. He and his wife Jennifer are doing a wonderful job of raising our grandchildren. They are Aren, Bryanna, Rose, Sylvia, and Ruby. Kris is also doing some fine work as a computer programmer.

Jane and I live at Windham's Crossroads near Lamar, SC. It's the home that I grew up in. It's great to be back home.

Since leaving broadcasting, I've put my media and marketing experience into a full time Real Estate career. I'm a stickler for details, and I love negotiating and bringing people together. After all, isn't that what a good realtor does? Once again, I'm lucky enough to do something that I truly enjoy.

I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, The South Carolina Association of Realtors, The Central South Carolina Association of Realtors, and The Pee Dee Realtor Association. I am a member of the Multiple Listing Service of Central South Carolina and the Pee Dee area. I also have sold real estate in the Charleston area.

My hobbies are playing golf, spending time with my wife and grandchildren, going out to eat, gardening, and enjoying life. As the old blues song says "Every day above ground is a good day".

I hope you have "a good day".
